Is there an opening night event?
There is an opening night event with drinks and music in each city which starts at 7pm.
At 8:00pm the screening will commence, with an exclusive, pre-recorded Q&A with That They May Face the Rising Sun director & cast after the credits, which will end at 10:50pm.

If you’re attending in Sydney, join us for the official IFF24 Afterparty at Kelly’s on King!  

 

Are there Q&As this year?
8 of the films in cinemas have exclusive Q&As with the director, producer and/or cast of the film. These will be shown after the credits roll so be sure to stick around.
Films with Q&As: Brendan Gleeson’s Farewell to Hughes (director & star), Lie of the Land (director & cast), Ó Bhéal (producer & star), Stolen (director & producer), Sunlight (director & cast), Tarrac (director & cast), That They May Face the Rising Sun (director & cast), and Verdigris (director & cast).
In Sydney, we are pleased to be joined by the director of The Guards for an in-person Q&A after the screening.

 

Can I buy tickets at the theatre?
Yes, you can purchase tickets on the night at the cinema unless the film is sold out.

 

How can I buy tickets?
You can buy tickets by visiting irishfilmfestival.com.au, select the film you want to see, then scroll to the bottom of the film into and select the city you’re in. This will then take you through to the relevant cinema page to purchase a ticket.

 

Can I order multiple movies at once?
When buying tickets through Dendy (Syd, Bris, Can) if you press the “X” in the top right corner when processing a ticket you will receive an option to “Continue Shopping” after which you can select multiple tickets to different sessions and you will see them all in your cart.

When buying tickets through Nova (Melb) or Luna (Per), they can only take single transactions as there is no cart functionality.
